This is one of the finest airport lounges I have paid a visit to and my 6-hour long layover in London, before my flight to Mumbai was well spent in this exquisite first-class lounge that feels more like a luxury hotel.

Accessible exclusively to British Airways First Class passengers, the Concorde Room is the perfect place to relax, rejuvenate and pamper yourself in the lap of luxury.

As soon as I walked into this beautiful lounge I was greeted by opulent upholstery studded with the finest of Osborne and Little fabrics, an elegant oak wood flooring, magnificent chandeliers, gorgeous lighting from Porta Romana,  chic tables from Boss design and a classic piano in the lobby adding to the grandeur of the experience.

Being a British Airways first-class passenger, I also had access to the lovely Elemis Spa where I pampered my senses with a complimentary facial/foot massage that one can pre-book up to 28 days in advance. They used the finest of products from Clarins and professional techniques to make me feel completely relaxed before a long flight.

After a refreshing spa treatment, you can head back to the comfort of the Concorde room and treat yourself to a good meal, a short nap or a drink from the beautiful bar.

My favourite part of the Concorde Room is definitely the outstanding terrace area overlooking the airstrip and areas of Heathrow Terminal 5. It has stunning, chic interiors with a contemporary design and inviting upholstery.

I thoroughly enjoyed the massive afternoon tea spread at the terrace with a choice of exquisite teas, handmade sandwiches, delicate desserts, melt in your mouth scones and jams with fine champagne.

The cosy day chairs on the chairs are the perfect spot to relax, watch the planes go by or take a short nap. This felt like being in a resort rather than an airport lounge and was definitely a highlight of my experience. You can also sit here and order from a huge ala carte menu or head over to the restaurant for a hearty meal.

The Concorde Room is studded with a state-of-the-art restaurant that has private dining booths offering you privacy and comfort over a delightful meal. The menu is wide and they have a lot of vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options too which you can choose from.

I absolutely loved the handmade tortellini pasta stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese, served on a bed of a warm butter sauce.

After a heart-warmingly delicious meal, I made my way to the gorgeous, well-stocked bar complete with the finest and most exquisite liqueurs, wines and beverages from all over the world. I was stoked to see and try prestigious champagnes like the LaurentPerrier Grand Siècle making the British Airways Concorde Room one of the most luxurious first-class lounges in the world.
