Cloud kissed mountains, a pristine blue lake, birds chirping in the distance, lush greenery, fresh misty air, light rains, spectacular views. How does this sound for a vacation?
Find all this and more at Ekaant the Retreat, a beautiful property located in the heart of Lavasa, Maharashtra. A short 4-hour drive from Mumbai & 2-hour drive from Pune, there’s a complete change of scenery from chaotic cities to peaceful, pristine natural beauty at this monsoon gateway.
We were here earlier this month on a much-needed break from our crazy city lives and loved every bit of our experience here.
From spacious, comfortable rooms with inbuilt balconies to delicious multi-cuisine food, a unique restaurant with a 360* valley view to a host of adventure activities, well-endowed banquets to green lawns, impeccable service to top-notch hospitality, Ekaant The Retreat is truly one of our favourite resorts around Mumbai for a short gateway.
The drive up to Ekaant The Retreat is extremely picturesque.
Drive through winding roads, tall mountains and misty forests to get to Lavasa the lake city. 15 mins inside Lavasa and you reach this brilliant property which has the best location in the city, the highest point!
As you check-in, you’re welcomed by their cordial staff with a welcome drink and warm smiles.
A stay in one of their 20 deluxe rooms is sure to make you want to come back time and again.
The rooms are spacious, well equipped with all modern amenities (AC, Flat Screen TV, Safe Deposit Box, Tea/Coffee Maker/Wifi/ etc to name a few), have a soft bed you can jump right into, a lovely marbled bathroom with high quality amenities and best of all, a spectacular balcony overlooking the valley!
The interiors are tastefully done with shades of brown and white to give a beautiful rustic, laid back look.
The huge balcony comes with your private dining area with some of the best views of the famous Sahyadri mountains & the serene Warasgaon lake.
Sitting here with some nice chai, pakodas, music & good company is a surreal experience. The monsoons add another layer of unmatched beauty to Lavasa.
Relax in the comfort of your room or stroll around the property, while kids can play in the lawn or take the unique and marvellous nature trail!
Walkthrough a well-planned trail through lush forest and tall trees as you take in the aroma of fresh earth, the mist engulfing you in its beauty. Stand a chance to witness rare birds and butterflies too as you relax at the end of the trail in specially made swings/machaans.
The nature trail offered by Ekaant the Retreat was truly a major highlight of our staycation here.
After this, you can also head down to Lavasa to engage in some adventure activities, water sports or just a stroll along the bustling promenade.
After a day full of exploring head back up to the property for one of the best meals of your life at Vianjan, their exquisite multi-cuisine restaurant offering unmatched 360* views of the surrounding valley as well as delicious food.
We’d highly recommend their special Daal Ekaant, Tandoori starter platter, Paneer Makhani, Kanda Bhajjis, Schezwan fried rice and sandwiches.
Vianjan also has a complimentary, well laid out buffet breakfast spread. The outer area of the restaurant comes with vibrant, open views of the cloud kissed Lavasa valley and makes for the perfect place to enjoy a meal.
Ekaant also offers a massive in-room dining menu, in case you’d like to dine out of the comfort of your balcony.
They also have well-equipped banquets, conference rooms and a huge lawn that makes it a great destination for fairy tale weddings, fun corporate events and unique experiences. With ample parking space, delicious food & experienced staff, they can host up to 300 people here at Ekaant.
Ekaant means solitude and this mesmerising property truly offers a chance to refresh and rejuvenate yourself, to get one with nature and embrace your inner self. This is truly a spectacular weekend gateway from Mumbai and Pune.
